Kechia Scott-Minter is the visionary force behind The Registrars Alliance, Inc., where her bold leadership and unwavering dedication to excellence have shaped the organization from the ground up. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Kechia brings more than two decades of experience in school administration, student records, and registrar services—spanning both public and private sectors across the state of Georgia.
With a Bachelor of Science in Management and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, Kechia is currently pursuing her Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), adding scholar-practitioner to her already stacked résumé.
Her career launched in 2002 in the Clayton County School System, where she quickly rose to lead the Transcript Department at the Morrow Annex. There, she revamped outdated record retention policies into a district-wide standard still used today. That success propelled her to Forest Park High School, where she restructured enrollment and record-keeping systems with equal brilliance.
Kechia’s work often intersects with moments that require compassion, innovation, and grace under pressure. When Hurricane Katrina displaced thousands of students, she became a lifeline—creating new records, enrolling students without identification, and securing the educational documentation they’d lost.
While serving in DeKalb County Schools, Kechia developed a streamlined system to track quarterly parent reimbursements tied to Title I services under the No Child Left Behind Act (now ESSA), ensuring greater transparency and accountability.
Her impact continued in Fulton County Schools, where she was first honored as the Camp Creek Middle School Professional of the Year. That same school year, she was elevated by the Deputy Superintendent to receive the South Learning Community Professional of the Year distinction. Simultaneously, she was elected to the School Governance Council at Westlake High School, where she served for four years, playing a key role in shaping strategic plans, overseeing budget allocations, and influencing school-wide policy decisions.
In 2017, she transitioned to the independent school sector as the Registrar at Woodward Academy, where her interest in international transcripts and registrar training deepened. Spotting a glaring gap in professional development for K–12 registrars, she founded The Registrars Alliance, Inc.—a nonprofit dedicated to elevating the profession through training, certification pathways, and recognition programs.
But Kechia’s story doesn’t stop at the office door. She’s also the proud author of Unshakable: A Story of Resilience, Faith, Love, and Triumph—a powerful, heart-centered book that shares her journey navigating life’s storms with purpose and strength. Through her writing, Kechia uplifts others facing personal and medical challenges, offering them not just hope, but a blueprint for triumph.
Whether in a boardroom or on the page, Kechia leads with heart, hustle, and an unapologetic passion for transformation. Her legacy? Making sure registrars—and everyday warriors—are seen, heard, and celebrated.
